With Smart and Sexy, Jill Shalvis kicks off a new series featuring a trio of friends who own and run the airline service Sky High: Noah, Shayne and Brody.
After taking time to recover from a plane crash, Noah Fisher is on the mend and ready to go back to work at the airport. First, though, he's decided to cap off his recuperation with one last weekend of R&R at his favorite ski resort. Nothing but skis and snow bunnies as far as the eye can see - or at least that was Noah's plan, until his plane is hijacked by the woman of his dreams - literally.
Former model Bailey Sinclair’s recently deceased husband has left a lot of people hot on her trail. It seems he's hidden some money that doesn't belong to him (naturally), and the bad guys are convinced Bailey knows where it's hidden. She's pretty sure that the money is at the ski resort, but what she doesn't count on is finding a partner in Noah.
Jill Shalvis has penned another hot and steamy romance for lovers of romantic adventure. While I initially had some problems buying into the premise behind the story, once I did, it was a very enjoyable, fast-moving story. The secondary characters are just as interesting as Noah and Bailey, and readers won't be able to wait for the sequels to catch up with the Sky High gang again.
