If you’ve always wondered how to best dress the body you were born with, award-winning fashion designer Bradley Bayou can teach you the science of sexy in his new book. Bayou’s famous clientele includes such luminaries as Oprah, Halle Berry and Salma Hayek, and his book explains how to find your particular body type, and how to dress to impress once you know it.
Using tons of color photos, diagrams and drawings, Bayou helps you figure out your particular and unique body shape then tells you exactly what works and what doesn’t in terms of clothing, shoes, even accessories. Each section focuses on a different body shape, height and size, so you can easily measure yourself, with his instructions, then go to the section that applies to you to get the info you need to dress your best.
The problem is, once you find your small section, the rest of the book is virtually meaningless to you, unless you plan to share it with friends and family. Obviously, the many other sections that pertain to other body types won’t apply to you, thus giving you little bang for your buck. And while the information is solid, and there are even tips on how to conceal and reveal specific body parts, I still felt that once I looked at “my section,” the rest of the book was wasted.
The information might be just as readily available in a magazine or online, but if you do plan to share this book with your gal pals, it might be worth your money to take a look at The Science of Sexy.
