Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan has been transformed from a drug-addled musician barely capable of stringing two sentences together to a literate, insightful, and successful book author. Here in the follow-up to his memoir, It's So Easy (and other lies), he offers up life lessons a la rock and roll. He talks about:

  • Know Your Tunes (and his favorite albums, such as the first Bad Company record, Paranoid and Nevermind)
  • Skip the Stripclub, Hit the Bookstore
  • Get a Dog
  • Set Goals (and Boundaries)
It's valuable wisdom and hard-learned. McKagan has seen the depths of rock excess and addiction, and he's bounced back. He is not condescending or pompous but only interested in passing on the things he has learned. This is worth reading.
