“Every change is a challenge to become who we really are.” So states this powerful and uplifting book by one of the world’s most inspiring authors. Marianne Williamson, author of the bestselling A Return to Love and A Woman’s Worth, now encourages us to look at change as an opportunity for inner and outer growth, and The Gift of Change provides us with all the tools we need to handle all kinds of changes, the good, the bad and the ugly.

The book takes us on a journey from where we are right now to where we want to be, which is always moving towards a better state of mind, spirit and being. From negative thinking to positive love, from anxiety to atonement, from living in the past and future to being fully in the present, from our own plan to the higher plan the Creator has for us, all of these topics are covered in Marianne's usual warm, honest and personal style. In fact, the ten simple yet profound steps she asks us to consider could literally change our entire concept of who we are – and sometimes that is the best, and scariest, change of all.

Using the concepts presented in A Course In Miracles as the backbone for her book’s teachings, Marianne (and you really feel like you know her so well you can call her by her first name) introduces us to new ways of thinking, acting and being, and she does so with gentle guidance and love. This book is filled with hope and the potential for such great possibility, both for the individual reader and for the entire world, for as Marianne tells us, if we want to change the world for the better, we have to change ourselves for the better first.

Filled with personal anecdotes from her own inspiring life, The Gift of Change is Marianne Williamson’s gift to a world filled with war, despair and deception. Her stance for peace and compassion comes shining through, and she is deeply involved with Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s plans for a Department of Peace in the U.S. government. There are some great resources for those who want to further their journey after they finish this book. And, of course, the book is peppered with Marianne’s beautiful and heartfelt prayers, which will open the heart and spirit to change’s opportunities.

But again, the emphasis throughout The Gift of Change is that everything starts with the individual, and this book is a wonderful tool for anyone seeking to use the power of change to manifest their dreams and make their world, and the world around them, a better and brighter place to be.
