P.C. Cast's latest work, Divine by Choice, is unlike any other time-travel you have ever read. With a mythological cast of characters and an engaging plot, you will not soon be bored with this read.
Shannon Parker is just another poor school teacher in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, when she is transported from this world to
one where magic and imagination thrive: Partholon, a parallel universe where everyone's twin lives,
a twin whose personality are far differs from the other. The person responsible for Shannon's transportation is her otherworldly twin, Rhiannon, the original Incarnate and Beloved of the ancient Celtic horse goddess, Epona. Shannon and Rhia switch places when they switch worlds so Shannon is now Epona's beloved and married to a hunky centaur of a husband named Clinfintan
(Hard to imagine having sex with a man who is half horse? Read the book to see how Shannon does it.).
Right after Shannon gets life-changing news, she finds herself back in her own world with no real powers to get back to her new life.
What is even more surprising is that Rhiannon is still in Oklahoma with her, and now it is a race against time to find a pathway back to Partholon. But the question is, who will return to Clinfintan and the inhabitants of Partholon? For only one can return, and only one is the true original Incarnate. The ending will leave you breathless and spellbound.
Although I found it hard to get started with this book, I could not put it down once I wrapped my mind around the world of Partholon. The plot is well-written and
unique, the characters diverse enough to engage you fully. The sex scenes are fantastic, and the concept
is new and original. P.C. Cast has put a spell on me with her words, and hopefully she will continue Shannon's story with Clinfintan.
