The Discovery traces the trials and travails of a Celtic warrior who winds up in the clutches of enemies in war who take him to a way of life and a people that are unknown to most except their own inhabitants.

Predictably, Konor has difficulty adjusting and fitting in to the new life he is forced to begin. Not being able to communicate well with others, it takes a while before he can make friends and find love, but as always there are impediments in the shape of those who simply do not like outsiders. Fortunately, the discovery he makes may give him an edge over those who mean him harm.

The plot to The Discovery is painfully predictable and laboriously slow in places, and the characters lack definition and therefore make it hard to care about the outcome. Do yourself a favor and bypass this one.
